Introduction
shoplab: Easy Image Picker (the "App") provides image organization and management services (the "Service") to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy outlines how store data is accessed, used, stored, and protected when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify store. The data controller responsible for your information is shoplab GmbH (see "Contact Us" below).

1. Information the App Collects

To deliver the Service, the App accesses and stores the following:

  • Shopify store data such as your store domain, store and theme settings, and an access token used to securely connect to your store.
  • Image library data — the App reads your store’s image and media files to sync, index, and display them. We store image references and file metadata (such as file names and identifiers) and the folders and tags you create within the App. [Confirm: references only, or also copies/thumbnails on our servers.]
  • Support information you provide when you contact us (such as your email address and message contents).

We do not use cookies, web beacons, pixels, or similar technologies for advertising, and we do not sell your data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above solely to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the App and its theme-customizer features.
  • Sync and index your store’s images and keep your folders and tags up to date.
  • Provide technical and operational support, and maintain the security of the Service.

We do not use store data for marketing, advertising, or profiling.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers (subprocessors) that host and run the Service, processing data only on our instructions. [List your hosting/storage and any error-logging or support providers.]
  • Legal requirements such as subpoenas, regulations, or other lawful requests.
  • Protecting our rights or enforcing our legal terms.

4. Data Retention

We retain your store data, image library metadata, and the folders and tags you create for as long as the App is installed on your store. When you uninstall the App, we delete or anonymize this data within [30] days, except where retention is required by law.

We are located in Europe and process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legal bases are performance of our contract to provide the Service (Art. 6(1)(b)), our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service (Art. 6(1)(f)), and compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)). If you are a European resident, you have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal data, and to restrict, object to, or port your data, as well as to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. 6. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and respond promptly to any incidents.

7. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in legal or operational practices. Updates will be posted at the same URL, and you are encouraged to review it periodically.
